My Mum has been under the care of Mr Gandhi for approximately 11 years, in respect of various gynaecologist issues including bladder incontinence and also a prolapse. I have attended most of my Mum's many appointments with Mr Gandhi over the years, and both Mum and myself have always found him to be professional, caring, understanding, to be a good listener and also someone who provides really clear explanations. Like earlier reviews we have found Mr Gandhi always prepared for the meeting and with a really good understanding of Mum's individual circumstances. He has never rushed a meeting, and Mum has never felt uncomfortable with any of the examinations Mr Gandhi has carried out. On the various operations he has carried out for my Mum over the years he has clearly explained the reasons for the op, the benefits and disadvantages etc, also how the op will be carried out. He has always been very attentive both before and after the ops which provided reassurance for my Mum. Overall my Mum and I both feel he deserves an award for his service to the health service and providing a great example to others working within the health service. He is an exceptional man.

Mr Gandhi was respectful and understanding within the consultation. He listened to my concerns and responded in a non judgemental manner - showing an understanding of my own perspective of the challenges I face. During the consultation there was a need to perform a vaginal examination which was explained to me prior to the examination, permission granted and in the presence of a female nurse. I felt relaxed and uncomfortable and the examination was stress free and I did not feel at all embarrassed or compromised throughout. This is important as many females are deterred from consultation with a male professional for obvious reasons, but I would recommend Mr Gandhi with regard to his professional approach to these matters. The potential clinical intervention in my case surgery was explained in a manner that was not patronising, but informative and all questions I asked were answered fully. The nurse present within the consultation, was also supportive and professional in her manner. Mr Gandhi supported me in making an informed choice about my options of care and explained the potential benefits and risks in a manner which enabled to make an informed and confident decision about my future. Thank you - I would recommend referral to Mr Gandhi.

I visited HRI Mr Gandhi today,and he was very caring,explained everything to me about my condition,I had to have an internal examination and he made me feel very comfortable,because previously when I have had to have this examination it has been excruciating,I only hope that in 3 months time when it is my next appointment I get to see Mr Gandhi again. Mr. Gandhi is not only a very good consultant but has the very important art of listening to the patient. I never felt rushed, Mr. Gandhi always took his time. I felt very confident in his judgment. Any person working in any hospital in any capacity could do a lot worse than take a leaf out of his book.
